​Here's Your First Look at the 'Downton Abbey' Movie
Now that a film adaptation of Downtown Abbey has been confirmed and the shows' favourite familiar faces have signed on to be a part of it, the first look at the upcoming motion picture has arrived.
 
The teaser trailer returns to the title property (filmed IRL at Highclere Castle), giving viewers gorgeous wide shots of the famed mansion.
 
Very little is revealed about the plot of the upcoming movie, other than that there will be a very important visitor coming to Downton Abbey — though the teaser does close with an impressive list of all the returning characters: Lord Grantham, Lady Grantham, Lady Mary Talbor, Lady Hexham, the Dowager Lady Grantham, Lady Merton, Tom Branson, Mr. Carson, Mr. Barrow, Mrs. Hughes, Mr. Bates, Mrs. Bates, Mrs. Patmore, Mr. Molesley, Daisy Mason and Miss Baxter.
 
It's directed by Michael Engler, and show creator Julian Fellowes wrote the script.
 
It's also been revealed that the film will hit theatres on September 20, 2019.
 
The original TV series wrapped in 2015, after six seasons.
