Daft Punk Officially Break Up
Published Feb 22, 2021There have been many rumours surrounding French touch legends Daft Punk, including the possibility that they were mulling over a soundtrack for Dario Argento's next movie. Finally, they've confirmed some news today, but it's not what anyone would have wanted or expected: Daft Punk have broken up.
The news was announced in an extremely Daft Punk way, as the duo shared a video entitled "Epilogue" on their official YouTube. The eight-minute clip, pulled from their 2006 movie Electroma, sees the duo blow themselves up. It doesn't really leave much to the imagination.
Daft Punk formed in 1993. They released four albums throughout their career, beginning with 1997's Homework and concluding with 2013's Random Access Memories. The duo also completed the soundtrack for 2010's Tron: Legacy.
